What are the different phases of the web project?

I usually start with a start-up meeting. We discuss business goals, target groups, and how we will communicate during the project and ensure a good delivery. After the meeting, I will put together a schedule together with you. This is what my overall project process looks like in most projects, it can vary a bit depending on how big the client is.

1. Information Gathering

We meet. During the meeting, we talk about your company, your industry, your future website, and its functionality. We also define the actual purpose of the website.

2. Planning

With the requirements and our common level of ambition on the table, I can come up with a proposal and estimated time for the project.

3. Designing

I create a flowchart for the content and 2-3 different layouts to be used as a base for discussion. We then agree on a final design.

4. Development

Programming of the website and its function.

5. Testing

Testing the functionalities of the website, browser testing, and speed. Delivery to you the client.

6. Website launch, maintenance

After the website is launched, there is a platform, a base. This needs to be constantly updated and supported for the best possible function and security. If you want, I can offer to help you with weekly or monthly updates.

How long does a small web project take?

If it is a simple website, about two weeks, that corresponds to maybe 10-20 hours stretched over two weeks. Over the two weeks, I am communicating with you, the customer, making adjustments, waiting for approvals, maybe photos, etc. If it is a large e-commerce project with 500 products, then the project will of course take longer, maybe a couple of months. After our first meeting with me, you will get a sense of how things are.

From my side, it is important to adapt the web project as close as possible to your needs and to make it as smooth as possible for you as a customer. It is also important to do things properly. This is when a web project can be considered successful.
